CONTROL ROOM (2009-11)
EN - Control Room started as a collaboration project between Oli Sorenson's visual edits, Adrienne Hart's choreography and October's music (Julian Raymond Smith). The work is structured around a remix of a previously released October track, of the same title. The final piece is heavily edited with add-on graphics and many time lapsed sequences.
Initiated in 2009, Control Room continued as a larger body of works which combined dance, video and sometimes architecture. 2011's edition was especially created to fit into a mapping project at Quartier Des Spectacles, Montreal, in collaboration with Canadian choreographer Martin Bélanger, which was projected on the city's largest bell tower.
FR - Control Room a commencé comme projet collaboratif entre les manipulations vidéo d'Oli Sorenson, la chorégraphie d'Adrienne Hart et la musique d'Octobre (Julien Raymond Smith). Cette première pièce était structuré autour du remix d'une pièce publiée précédemment par Octobre, du même titre. L'oeuvre finale est fortement accentuée par de nombreux éléments graphiques et des plans séquences tounés en ralenti.
Débuté en 2009, Control Room a continué un cheminement au sein d'un plus grand corpus d'œuvres, en combinéson avec des éléments de danse, de vidéo et parfois, d'architecture. Cette édition de 2011 a été spécialement créée pour s'insérer dans un projet Mapping au Quartier des Spectacles, Montréal, en collaboration avec le chorégraphe canadien Martin Bélanger. Le projet final fut projeté sur le plus haut clocher de Montréal.
